Trash volume in City returns to normal after Eid holiday. Previous trash volume was decreased significantly from 7,000 tons per day into 1,700 per day.

Jakarta Environment Dept. Head, Isnawa Adji said, recent trash volume reaches 5,500-6,000 tons. It is estimated trash volume will be back to normal starting next week.

"Recently it is around 6,000 tons or close to normal amount because citizens have been started their activities. But not completely," he said at City Hall, Monday (7/3).

He explained on D-1 to D+1 of Eid, total trash volume in City was just around 1,700-1,900 tons per day. This reduction was caused by many Jakartans conducted homecoming.

"Trash volume had dropped significantly into less than 2,000 tons. Whereas usually could reach 7,000 tons per day," he expressed.

Nevertheless, he ensures trash transporting in public settlement will be not constrained. Motor carts keep operated to transport citizen trash since Eid.

"There are no pile of trash and complaint from citizen anymore," he closed.
